Personal Self-Revelation ~ The First Enlightened Tenet
Jesus of Nazareth said that the Kingdom of God is in each of us. This is wisdom.
Similarly, in Rational Deism® the First Enlightened Tenet is personal self-revelation. Personal self-revelation is the perfection of a human being, adducing peace and harmony. A human being exists to be free, confident, and perfected as one with self.
Now, here’s the thing with personal self-revelation: If we achieve it—whatever it is for each of us—it will be so unique and personal that it will not be capable of sharing, it will not be capable of socializing, and it will not be capable of replicating. Khalil Gibran said, “For thought is a bird of space, that in a cage of words may indeed unfold its wings but cannot fly.” Again, this is wisdom.
Revelation cannot be made to a cookie-cutter mold any more than any human being. Moreover, it will not need to explain itself, it will not need to defend itself, and it will not need to compare itself. There are no social components to what is and must be perfect and perfected unto itself.
Because the Rational Deist understands and believes in The First Enlightened Tenet, there is no basis to challenge any other human being’s own personal self-revelation. Comparing personal revelations would be foolish by adducing “better than” type of associations, which adduce vice and comparative judgment, and hate, war, death, and destruction. A Rational Deist does not challenge atheisms or agnosticisms for the same reason.
A Rational Deist respects each person’s unique self and natural right to self-revelation. There is no judgment in Rational Deism®.
